Trincity, Tacrigua, September 15, 2014 (ODPM, CDEMA) - Representatives from a wide cross section of government, key stakeholder agencies, civil society and the private sector in Trinidad and Tobago will participate in a two day workshop on developing a national cross-sectoral climate smart comprehensive disaster management (CDM) work programme. The Workshop which commences on 15th September, 2014 at Trinidad and Tobago Bureau of Standards is being hosted by the Office of Disaster Preparedness and Management (ODPM) in collaboration with the Caribbean Disaster and Emergency Management Agency (CDEMA) to implement Phase II of the Mainstreaming Climate Change and Disaster Management Project (CCDM-II).

Bridgetown, Barbados, Monday, September 9, 2014 (CDEMA) - The economic consequences of hurricanes in the Caribbean will be one of the featured sessions at a two (2) day symposium to commemorate the 10th Anniversary of Hurricane Ivan in Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands from September 10-11, 2014. Mr. Ronald Jackson, Executive Director, of the Caribbean Disaster Emergency Management Agency (CDEMA), will be the key speaker at the session which will be held on Thursday, September 11.
