Greetings and salutations to all and welcome to our Annual Press Conference and to the offices of the CDEMA Coordinating Unit. To those tuning in on the various social media and ICT Platforms -a pleasant good morning to you.
I wish to first acknowledge the work of the previous Executive Director, Mr. Jeremy Collymore and the CU team in establishing CDEMA as a regional and Global leader in Disaster Risk Management. An enviable regional platform or network of institutions and partners now exist that are poised to collectively take on the challenge of achieving regional resilience to disasters including those driven by climate change.
